Processing Powder A special processing powder is used for the Magnetfinish-Technology. Each grain of it contains both magnetic and abrasives components. These components are firmly attached with each other, due to a special method of manufacturing process. Five different sorts of processing powder are available which differ in there graining. |

The grain fractions range from 300 - 250 mm (Super Rough) till < 20 mm (Super Fine). The roughness will be reduced with factor 4 in one stage. The chart below shows these correlations. If it's necessary to reduced the roughness in great messures, then there can applied several stages with different grain fractions. For example when the initial roughness is Ra = 0.64 mm and should be reduced to 0.04 mm then it will be used the powder sort "Rough" in the first stage. In the next stage the powder sort "Fine" could be applied. Only one stage is usually enough for 90 % of all applications. |

The new powder type nanoabrasive combines fine grain with highest abrasivity. This type of powder is usable universal and able to round and polish also the ultrahard materials like carbide or DLC. |
